Type H Socket And Plug
Share
The Type H plug and socket, commonly known as the Israeli standard plug and socket, is used only in Israel and Palestine.
The Type H plug has three round pins arranged in a triangular pattern. The pins are 19 mm long and 4.5 mm in diameter, with the centers of the neutral and live pins spaced 19.1 mm apart. The Type H plug is grounded and rated for 16 amperes.

Strictly speaking, Type H sockets are not compatible with Type E and Type F plugs because the hole diameter of Type H sockets (4.5 mm) is 0.3 mm smaller than the pin diameter of Type E/F plugs (4.8 mm). However, if you apply enough force, it is often possible to insert them forcibly. Please note that in this situation, the appliance is not grounded, which may pose safety hazards.

Before 1989, the old Israeli plugs used flat pins and have now been phased out. Since 1989, new Israeli sockets can accommodate both the old flat-pin plugs and the round-pin Type H plugs, as well as Type C plugs (commonly known as European standard plugs).

The Type H plug is one of the most dangerous plug types in the world because all three pins have no insulation at the base. Imagine if a child accidentally touches the base of the pins while unplugging a Type H plug from a socket—they would be at risk of electric shock. Additionally, Type H sockets are not recessed into the wall, so there is also a risk of electric shock if they are touched.
